These young students were very engaged and participated in all exercises and discussions. Seeing the insight these young minds have was remarkable, and the questions were excellent. Neuroplasticity allows these young minds to adapt and learn new things quickly. It is always best to teach them young!

"I attended Mike Petterson's NE Mindfulness & Performance one-day course with the intention to better "show up" for my partner; I did not expect a crash course in showing up for myself as well! In the days following this program I have been more aware of my breathing patterns and general posture and have been making the effort to apply the mindfulness exercises discussed and practiced during the course.
Petterson is a patient, professional and responsive leader. It is evident that his priority is the wellness of everyone in the room. Throughout the day, Mike welcomed all constructive feedback and absorbed different perspectives, information and learning approaches. He succeeded in creating a safe space in a room full of trauma survivors.
I learned that being present in my body is an overlooked key to my emotional awareness. We all encounter stress, and our bodies store trauma. While I'll never have the right words to say when my partner comes home after a violently traumatic day, I at least have some resources to help him work through it physiologically. We also now have the foundation of a network we can lean on more difficult days.
Programs like this need to be mandated and normalized."
"We co-sponsored a wellness program for veterans and responders with Wounded Warrior Project at Sobriety Centers of NH to offer New England Mindfulness and Performance's one day training.
I was a little surprised when a self described "mindfulness naysayer" from a local CISM Peer Team registered. The message I received after the training, "That was AMAZING!" with a plan for three of the attendees to start a meet up at our facility to practice Mindfulness techniques they learned!
New England Mindfulness and Performance will definitely be offered again through our wellness program!
Aimee LaMotte, Responders Together NH"

FEEDBACK: "I've known Mike for 20 years. His training program is extraordinary. His teaching method provided a succinct relay of information and strategies for maintaining a sense of peace during stressful situations.
Throughout the course Mike engages with students in a meaningful and trauma informed manner. His personal and professional experiences have informed Mike and allowed for him to share with students how these methods have helped him. The classroom setting allows for the practice of breathing and meditation methods to be explored so that participants can engage these practices on their own when needed. I will recommend this training for anyone seeking to utilize mediation to enhance performance in their daily lives.

FEEDBACK: "The course provided a lot of repetition in breathing techniques and body scans. I learned great skills that will help my anxiety and stress levels."
"I thought it was great. For a one-day class and follow up sessions remotely, I don't think Mike had much room for improvement. Everything was covered expertly. "
"I enjoyed it immensely. Michael is a great teacher and cares about sharing topics with others. This is definitely a course we (law enforcement) all need, and material we need to practice."

"Mike did a great job. He covered the material in a way that was not boring at all. Going into this training I was not sure what to expect as it is a new technique to me, and I felt like it was a great intro too. Mike was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed him sharing his personal experiences with using this method. I would definitely recommend this course and would love the opportunity to attend more in the future, thank you. "
